Grim Fandango is a 1998 adventure game directed by Tim Schafer and developed. A remastered release of Grim Fandango was announced in June 2014 during Sony Computer Entertainment's press. 'Grim Fandango Game Guide'.

Let me start by saying that it takes a lot for me to give a 10/10 rating! Rarely anything surpasses my expectations but by god this did. I'm still in awe, this game is a masterpiece! I remembered playing this game on PC years ago and was a little sceptic when I found out a remastered edition was coming out for ps4, I initially decided against playing it because i thought it wouldn't have been like I remembered, and it wasn't, it was much better.

The graphics superseded the original by far especially when the game gave you the opportunity to switch to the original rendition of the game, but what really made Grim Fandango so damn good was the fact they didn't change a single thing, I played the whole game with tank controls to get the ultimate feel, I loved the voice acting, the puzzles were smart and engaging and the story was PHENOMENAL! Maybe I liked the fact the 90s neo-noir feel was still intact and undamaged, maybe I fell in love with the nostalgia, nevertheless it was a beautiful game which I will be recommending to everyone. Boxboy and jefo. Grim Fandango: 10/10.

The betting stub puzzle is easily one of the trickiest and seemingly arbitrary puzzles in the entire game - I can see why sips would be confused by it.Unfortunately, Sips missed a (honestly, I've played through this game many times, and I had no idea you could get in to that room) which ties everything together.Lola is obsessed with Maximino and wants to prove that Olivia and Nick, his girlfriend and lawyer, have something going on. She snaps the photo and hides it in the photo-finish system under the race during which Max proposed to Olivia (obviously an important event to her). When hiding the photo, she took the real photo-finish photo and left it at the tattoo place, taking note of the place in the tattoo book where she hid it. She keeps this note in her jacket, which she later checks in to the Calavera Cafe and takes the #22 Lengua card. Manny finds this card on her body when she dies. This is not some clever trail that she set up for Manny - it's Manny that's doing the detective work, working his way backwards to the jacket, and to the tattoo book.We can see three things from the photo-finish photo:.

This is the race during which Max proposed to Olivia (message is on the blimp). In the conversation that Sips missed, Max tells us that he proposed to Olivia on the day that Sanspoof (her favourite cat) was killed, because the blimp crashed on the track - presumably this is why she didn't accept the proposal. The Sanspoof memorial tells us that Sanspoof died in the 2nd week of the racing season. This was race 6. Everybody in the photo is wearing kitty hats, and the guy in the betting booth tells us about Kitty Hat Tuesday, so it must have been a Tuesday. There we go - now we know that Max proposed to Olivia in the 2nd week, Tuesday, race 6, and so we can get the photo that Lola hid. This puzzle is really smart but unfortunately under-appreciated because it's really not explained very well. It would also have been nice if the conversation with Max had been certain to happen.Anyway, looking forward to the rest of the playthrough!.

The conversation isn't necessary, however. The plaque tells us that the airship Olivia 1 crashed on her maiden voyage, which is when it killed Sanspoof. The picture shows the airship on what can only be it's maiden voyage (because it's the only flight it ever took), Sanspoof, kitty hats, and the race number. We know Sanspoof died in the second week of the racing season, and we know kitty hat day is Tuesday. All that's left is knowing which number corresponds to the week and which to the race on the betting stub printer, which can be done by looking at the ticket after it's printed.
