Can I solo Helldivers? (self.Helldivers) submitted 4 years ago by Zedab. Hey, I've been hearing some great things about this game but unfortunately I'm not the sort that loves to play online with strangers. Can I solo through Helldivers with little issue or is co-op forced/strongly advised throughout most of the game? May 28, 2016  In 1931, the famed American Director, John Ford, released a film called Helldivers. Clark Gable and Wallace Berry portrayed two chief petty officers that flew dive-bombers. A typical Hollywood action film of the time, it did feature American naval aviation at that time and brought dive-bombing to the attention of all naval powers.

Welcome to the Helldivers subreddit! This is an unofficial subreddit for Helldivers. We're really passionate about the game, so we ask that posts in this subreddit be relevant to Helldivers - other content should go on. Other than that, have fun, and be excellent to each other!Helldivers Resources.Rules.No flaming/trolling (within reason). Clearly jokes and stuff are fine, but if you're harassing someone, that's not cool. We're not enforcing this rule as a form of censorship, we're enforcing this because subreddits tend to get lots of new players, and the last thing we as a community should do is make people tuck tail and run. This is a positive community. While we won't ban negative comments and so forth, if you have a repeated history of making caustic remarks for the sole purpose of being confrontational, we won't hesitate to ban - regardless of how monolithic you think you are in the community.Speech is free.

End of discussion. No spam. This includes affiliate links and unrelated content. Again, this isn't going to be enforced heavy-handedly, it's not like a single off-topic rant is bannable, but if you start spamming links to cash-for-click sites or whatever, you will get banned.Be excellent to each other. The reason is the damage for the Sickle is Instant versus the Scythes DPS.One shot of the Sickle does the maximum amount of damage and can 3-5 shot most mobs (bugs are different) and in controlled bursts can basically be infanate ammo with no turn speed reduction. The Scythe is a Medium difficulty weapon where you dont expect many armored foes cause the damage is applied over a 2 second period IF you keep the beam on target. The Scythe is a Medium difficulty weapon where you dont expect many armored foes cause the damage is applied over a 2 second periodPretty good write-up on the two weapons, but I disagree with this part of what you wrote. First of all, I think the Scythe is definitely a weapon that can be used well on helldives.

Secondly, armored foes has nothing to do with the Scythe being ineffective. Believe it or not, the Scythe has better anti-armor than the Sickle has. Scythe can kill a Warlord, a Sickle cannot.

A team of Scythe divers can do some amazing things. Now you hit the nail on the head with the last part, damage is applied over time. The Scythe is like a magnifying glass and so must remain fixed on its target to do its full damage. A couple of problems come from this.1) You can't really feather or treat the weapon like a semi-automatic like you can with the Sickle. The Sickle benefits greatly from tapping the button as opposed to holding it down, so even though the Sickle has the smaller heatsink, its the Scythe that feels it more, since you need to hold the button down and so actually release so that its heat sink has time to recover. 2) Since you have to hold on a target and can't really move well while doing this, the Scythe feels most vulnerable when you're under pressure. Cyborg hounds and grotesques can make things difficult.

And keep in mind, grotesques have no armor, hounds have very little armor. So its less about armor and more about how the weapon does its damage. The Scythe gets a bad rap, but I don't think its as bad as some do. The way to run it IMO is to run it like you would a sniper.

Try and keep a distance, Scythe is good at area control with that continuous beam and decent at sweeps. Sometimes you see people use Sickle for sweeps, but Sickle is actually garbage for sweeps. The way you can see this for yourself is have a diver stand in one spot and then shoot while turning, most of the time the Sickle will actually miss the target, while the Scythe will not.But getting back on track, try and keep a distance and use stalling tactics to slow the enemy down. So things like Guard Dog, Stun Mines, Static Field, Avenger, etc. SH-20 wouldn't be a bad choice either, you'll be fighting from a distance, so you're shield should stay up and that will keep the hounds from rushing you. SH-32 is excellent, gives you all the time you need to kill grotesques, you won't be pressured at all from them if you have the Kinetic.Pretty much anything is usable in the game, its just a matter of building your loadout around it. Even if say you like the Sickle or Trident better, it can be fun to switch things up, just to have new experiences.

If the weapons charts were correct for the Scythe, they would show damage as almost zero, and fire rate off the charts. The scythe fires dozens of shots per second, which is why it looks like a solid beam. However, each shot does such low damage that a bug scout can survive single shots. Tapping the trigger allows you to rapidly rotate the gun, but you're losing out on a significant portion of the damage. Unlike the sickle, every time you release the trigger of the Scythe you are wasting damage you could be dealing, which is the biggest downside of the weapon - there is no convenient time to recharge when you need constant damage.

The premise of Alien Shooter 2 is the MAGMA Energy research facility that has been overrun by aliens. Players must complete several missions meandering through the halls and labs of the MAGMA facility and of course shoot hordes of aliens in the process. Much like the first game, the Alien Shooter 2 has a top-down view, giving gamers a very nice viewing angle of the surrounding environment and elements, taking you right into the action.Alien Shooter 2 – The plotThe game is set in a post apocalyptic and futuristic world of 2030 where aliens and human mercenaries are fighting to take control of the Earth. What this means is that at one point in the game, the players are given a choice. One great feature of the game is that it has a dual ending. Alien shooter 2 reloaded mission 3 0.

You're losing some of your damage using it that way, but if you feel like it works for you that way, then keep doing it. Its a bit unconventional, but I see people do that with the Arc Thrower too. Instead of getting a full charge and then firing, they just fire off multiple small bursts of electricity.I will say this though, you can kill like bug scouts using it that way, but you could just do a fast sweep and kill multiples without ever letting go of the trigger as well. But definitely play around with it and see what you like best.

Its good to know all the ins and outs of whatever weapon you're using and you only know that by experimenting. And sometimes that can be useful if you're trying not to hurt an allied target behind it.
