Full Review Order & Chaos Online ReviewBy Herman Y.Order & Chaos Online is a free-to-play 3D fantasy MMORPG developed and published by Gameloft, a company known for high quality mobile games. Order & Chaos Online was released worldwide on April 27, 2011 and was one of the first MMORPGs on mobile devices. It was originally buy-to-play with no monthly fees for $6.99 and was very successful and popular despite the price tag.

New characters. New buildings. Farm frenzy 3 free full version download.

Three years later, possibly due to a decrease in new players, Order & Chaos Online went free-to-play on August 6, 2014 and the playerbase skyrocketed once again. Having undergone numerous large content updates, Order & Chaos Online managed to maintain its spot as one of the best, and most popular, MMORPGs four years after its release. Classes and Character CreationWhen players first enter Order & Chaos Online, they are prompted to create a character from five different races and four distinct classes. Races include Humans, Elves, Orcs, Undead, and Mendels. Races also come in different factions. Humans and Elves are in the Order faction, while Orcs and Undead are part of the Chaos faction.

The gnome-like Mendels are Neutral. Each race has slight stat differences and is potentially more suited for certain classes, although the difference is minimal. In addition, the factions Order, Chaos, and Neutral all start in different regions from each other. From what I’ve seen, Order is the most populated faction. The four classes include tough, melee Warriors, powerful, spell-casting Mages, supportive, life-healing Monks, and quick, bow- and dagger-wielding Rangers. Each class has hundreds of different skills to choose from which offers a lot of customization in builds and gameplay. A Large World in the Palm of Your HandOrder & Chaos Online has a huge 3D persistent open world that certainly rivals those of PC MMORPGs in terms of largeness. Each area offers a large, seamless zone that includes different towns, buildings, NPCs, and monsters.

Order & Chaos Online is one of the only mobile MMORPGs that have open areas this large. The servers are also highly populated for a game released over five years ago and there are players of all levels running around. The graphics are colorful and slightly cartoony, similar to (WoW), and looks spectacular for a mobile game. The environments are detailed and range from bright forests to dreary deserts. With so many other players running around, the world feels vibrant and lively.

There are a lot of quest NPCs, towns, and monsters scattered all around, along with a PvP arena and some higher level zones with open PvP. Pocket World of WarcraftOrder & Chaos Online certainly feels a lot like WoW. From the graphics to the combat to the questing, it's apparent Gameloft wanted to bring a popular game like WoW onto mobile devices. Although the game lacks originality, considering the fact that the Android and iOS platforms didn't have many MMORPGs at its time of release, this game manages to fill an important niche in the mobile gaming market. Even in 2015, Order & Chaos Online remains as one of the only true MMORPGs on mobile devices that has a persistent, open-world, with different maps and towns to travel to, and lots of quests to undertake from NPCs.

Many will call Order & Chaos Online a WoW-clone, but to me, that is actually a good thing. Questing and CombatThe world of Order & Chaos Online is littered with quests at almost every corner, and I say that in a good way. The game starts players off with a main story quest and players gradually pick up a bunch of side-quests along the way. Most of these quests are fairly generic, such as killing a certain number of monsters, gathering a certain number of items, or talking to certain NPCs. Nevertheless, these quests at least provide players with something to do other than to level up for no reason. Each quest provides NPC dialogue and some backstory, making the main storyline somewhat interesting (although still fairly generic). There’s also a handy quest arrow that guides players in the right direction for each quest. The combat in Order & Chaos Online consists of the traditional point-and-click system seen in World of Warcraft and many other early MMORPGs.

Players can move with a virtual joystick and attack monsters by tapping on them. There are also buttons on the bottom right to use skills.

It's not action-oriented, but gets the job done and is still decent enough for an open-world MMORPG like this. However, this won’t appeal to a lot of mobile gamers since almost all mobile RPGs these days have action-oriented, hack-and-slash combat, which makes the combat in Order & Chaos Online feel a little slow and unengaging. On the other hand, questing does help make things a little more interesting but, like most MMORPGs, there is a good amount of grinding required to level up.

Cash Shop/In-App PurchasesOrder & Chaos Online is not necessarily pay-to-win but spending cash gives advantages at higher levels and in PvP. First, spending money in this game is by no means necessary. It is completely possible to level from 1 to 70 without spending a single penny although it requires a lot of grinding and farming. Luckily, the game has a free lottery system and a Wheel of Fortune that gives out all sorts of goodies that players can spin for free every couple of hours. I must be lucky because I won a free Level 70 weapon on my first try in the Lottery.

Plus, there are constant notifications in the chat window of people winning big prizes from the lottery. However, there is still a lot of grinding and farming to do in this game in order to obtain or craft better equipment without spending any real money.In-app purchases include packages containing cosmetic items, crafting materials, equipment, mounts, in-game gold, and other special items. It's possible to craft the best equipment in the game without spending any real money, but this requires months of farming. Spending cash will help players get that gear instantly. A full tier of gear costs around $50-$100. Also, in order to get high rankings in PvP and to get into a good guild, most players will need to spend money on equipment and PvP timer resets. Players are limited by how many PvP matches they can compete in each day and in-app purchases can reset that limit, meaning players that spend money are more likely to be in the top rankings.

In other words, the PvP is most likely pay-to-win, while the main core gameplay of leveling up is not (although spending money speeds things up). Order & Chaos Online was originally a buy-to-play game released in April 2011. It went free-to-play in April 2014.

With over five million downloads on the Android and iOS platforms, Order & Chaos Online is one of the most popular mobile MMORPGs around the world. Gameloft also released a game called Heroes of Order & Chaos Online in December 2012 based on the Order & Chaos lore and factions.

Four years after its release, Order & Chaos Online continues to grow and receive regular updates by Gameloft.

This game has become a complete disaster. Everyone is quitting. In the hands of a competent development and design team it could be very successful. Very sad to see such a classic mobile MMORPG just get milked for cash until people give up and quit.

And

Let's see:1.Poorly translated patch notes that don't explain even half of the changes made in the update.2. Game developers posting to the forum telling us 'it will get better'.3. An exhaust system that restricts you to about an hour of gameplay a day before you have to pay real money.4.

Contests rewarding players for spending the most real money (vanity contests, daily contests).5. Black Market where all those epics and mounts you worked so hard for are now purchaseable with real money.6. Pet, mount, and other collection systems that make the game feel more like pokemon and less like an MMORPG.7. Poorly designed dungeons and no-challenge PVE content with no upgrade paths just random lucky drops.8. Broken PVP system with over powered-buffs purchaseable for real money.I used to be a very hardcore player before the level 70 update and it's sad to see this game crash and burn so hard. The development team either doesn't care or are being told by Gameloft not to care.

Very sad.We know. This game has become a complete disaster.

Right now, but that's right now, not later. Later, they should fix all these issues or someone will find out how to get around them. And an hour of dungeons is how it was for gsl update. Also, gameloft has always been pay to win, anyone remember the first update? It was t1 in nicks shop and up until gsl update, the only way to get t1 was to buy it for $15Fair enough, you are more optimistic than me and maybe we've seen some of these things in the past. I've been playing for about 2 years and this seems worse than ever. Barely any PVE content worth doing and blatant rune gouging for non-essential items like vanities and mounts.

Maybe it will improve but I think it would require a complete overhaul of the current development team. I think this game's pay-to-win direction has become an unstoppable force for quite some time now. Some players have made good proposals that could achieve a reasonable balance to game dynamics (i.e. While still taking into account Gameloft's interests). But I think Gameloft stays highly encouraged when they actually receive Ticket-ID's from some players claiming there was no rune sale this weekend. It's really certain segments of the player-base that betrays its own fellow players, and keeps the pay-to-win train chugging along.
